Mark Honkofsky wins Gold Master status

Mark Honkofsky, sales consultant for Northwest Honda in Owings Mills, has achieved Gold Master status from American Honda Motors.

Mr. Honkofsky, of Eldersburg, achieved gold status each of the past three years based on sales of more that 200 new vehicles per year, an individual satisfaction rating that exceeds the average for the district and other criteria.

Also, during Honda's national "Walk Around Contest," he demonstrated a thorough knowledge of Honda products for the third consecutive year. Carroll Community College is adding three noncredit classes.

"Preparation for the Maryland Stationary Engineers Certification" is a noncredit course for qualified, experienced stationary engineers who wish to prepare for the licensing examination. The class will meet from 6 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on Wednesdays, Jan. 5 through April 20, at Westminster High School. The cost is $175, plus text. The cost for senior adults is $20, plus text.

"Residential Real Property Appraising" is fourth in a series of pre-certification noncredit courses. The class will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, from Jan. 5 through Feb. 9, at the 300 S. Center St. Annex, Westminster. The cost is $162 including the text. The senior adult cost is $57 including text.

"Property and Casualty Insurance" is the required 96 hour pre-licensing course. Completion of the course will prepare students to sit for the State of Maryland licensing and regulation examination. The class will meet from 6 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, beginning Jan. 10 at Westminster Senior High School, 1225 Washington Road. The cost is $300 for adults and $75 for senior adults.

Lorraine Bell is named realty agent of month

Lorraine Bell, a member of the Hampstead Long & Foster office, was the group's top listing agent for October. Loretta Ness and Penny Wilson were the office's top selling agents for October.

Benjamin C. Rogers is branch manager

Benjamin C. Rogers is the new branch manager of the Eldersburg office of the Carroll County Bank and Trust Co. Mr. Rogers began working for the bank Oct. 12. He was previously worked for First Citizens Bank in Morehead City, N.C.

He has a bachelor's degree in business management from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C. He and his wife, Claudia, will live in Westminster.

Carroll County Bank and Trust operates 11 offices in Carroll County and an office in Ellicott City. The Eldersburg office is at 1438 Liberty Road. An office at the intersection of Sykesville and Liberty roads is being planned.
