BALTIMORE CITY

* STRONGARM ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Central District -- A man used force to take a canvas backpack containing $100 from a woman in the 1500 block of N. Charles St. Tuesday night.

* ARMED ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Western District -- A thief struck a man with a rock and stole his guitar Tuesday morning in the 500 block of Evergreen St. Police have a suspect in custody.

* ARMED ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Northern District -- A man robbed a woman of $300 at gunpoint Tuesday night in the 5200 block of York Road.

* ARMED ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Northern District -- A man robbed an employee of a department store in the 5600 block of The Alameda of an undisclosed amount of cash Monday morning.

* ARMED ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Northern District -- A mugger pointed an unknown object at a man in the 3300 block of Greenmount Ave. Monday morning and robbed the victim of $35 in cash.

* ARMED ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Northern District -- A man was robbed at knifepoint of a coat valued at $155 in the 5600 block of The Alameda Tuesday afternoon.

* ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Southern District -- A woman struggled with a purse snatcher in the 400 block of S. Monroe St. Friday evening before losing $750 to her attacker. The crime was reported Tuesday.

* ARMED ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A man was robbed of $70 in the 500 block of S. Chester St. Monday by a man who held his hand in his pocket as though he had a gun and threatened the victim.

BALTIMORE COUNTY

* AUTO THEFT: Garrison District -- A 1988 Mazda was stolen from the 8600 block of Liberty Road Tuesday night.

* AUTO THEFT: Garrison District -- A 1990 Acura Legend was stolen from the 9400 block of Hannahs Mill Drive Tuesday morning.

* RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: Woodlawn District -- Thieves forced open the front door of a residence in the 3400 block of Vargas Circle Tuesday and stole property valued at $1,000.
