Under-10 -- The Emmorton Blasts defeated Darlington, 4-0, in the final game of the Harford County Tournament to win their divisional championship.

Jamie Valis, Jessie Willard, Ashley Korecky and Kathleen Nevin had a goal each. The Blasts, unscored upon during the tournament, also included Devon Welsh, Sara Hartman, Meredith Remus, Tiffany Foertschbeck, Debra Scott and Mandy Herman.

The Emmorton Stars defeated Belcamp, 4-1, in their final game of the tournament to win the division title.

Allison Torbert scored three goals and Tabitha Kolb scored one goal to lead the Stars, who were undefeated. Team members also included Amanda Novak, Lauren Wood, Clair Ruffing, Meghan Dougherty, Kim Cooper, Christine Capote, Jessica Larson, Whitney Kent and Whitney Merrick.

Under-12 -- The Emmorton Lazers capped off their undefeated season (9-0-1) by winning the Red Division Harford County Championships against Joppatowne, 3-2, in overtime.

Goals by Shelby Hughes, assisted by Kate Duffy, for the Lazers, and an unassisted score by Joppatowne's Kim Gorsh tied the game early at 1. Gorsh scored again early in the second half to give Joppatowne a 2-1 lead.

With four minutes remaining, the Lazers' April Madden took a pass from Jessica Fruhling and scored, forcing overtime.

With 12 seconds left in overtime, Rebecca Roberts took a pass from Erica Korecky and fired in the winning goal.

Emmorton's defense was led by goalkeeper Lindsay Bugda and fullbacks Kim Siegel, Lauren Drexel and Sarah Bands.

Other team members were Elaina Triandafilou, Shelly Reft, Nicole Neubauer, Monica Mikhail, Brandy Lucero, Amy Kallenberger and Jessica Duggan.

Boys soccer

Under-10 --The Forest Hill Spirit edged the Forest Hill Scorpions, 1-0, to win the Forest Hill Tournament last weekend. A second-quarter goal by striker Ryan Rate off a corner kick was the difference for the undefeated Spirit.

Center forward Brett Deibert of the Scorpions, who scored 39 goals during the regular outdoor season in Forest Hill, scored five goals in a 6-5 losing effort to Bel Air in the Forest Hill Lightning's first indoor game at the Maryland Sports Arena.

The Greater Harford Strikers defeated White Marsh, 10-4, on goals by Jeff Kocher (three), Chris Schneider (two), Luke Meissner (two), Sean McAvoy, Mike Costello and Matt Wood (one each).

Assists were provided by Kocher, Schneider, Meissner, Costello and Brian Kemper. Chris Smith was in goal for the Strikers.

The Strikers also defeated Hawthorne, 15-2, recently at the Arena.

The Edgewood Strikers completed their undefeated season (8-0-2) with a 2-1 victory over Belcamp I in the finals of the Harford County Blue Division Championships.

Wayne Bartlett put the Strikers into the lead with a goal in the first half, but Belcamp tied the contest at 1 in the third quarter. Bartlett scored again to seal the victory for the Strikers.

Edgewood advanced to the final by beating the Emmorton Rockets, 2-0, and the Norrisville Swiftkicks, 4-0.

Championship team members were Robby Crickenberger, Wayne Bartlett, David Reazell, Tim Burton, Joey Heimberger, Dale Lipscumb, Randy Wassum, Bruce Breton and Danny Morris.

Under-12 -- The Forest Hill Force won the Harford County Red League Championships with a 2-1 victory over the Hickory Lazers in the final.

Justin Collins scored for the Force on a booming shot from about 25 yards out, and Anthony Collurafici scored on an assist from Pat Jackson.

Outstanding defensive play was credited to fullbacks Kevin Voelker and Pete Golumbek and goalie Eric Blom.

Championship team members were Anthony Collurafici, Justin Collins, Eric Blom, Mike Duncan, Eric Gardiner, Pete Golumbek, Brent Irwin, Pat Jackson, Alex Markiewicz, Steven Markiewicz, Danny Martin, Justin Mast, Adam Soutar, Greg Spalding, Kevin Voelker and Daniel Watts.

The Greater Harford Lightning defeated the Outlaws, 7-1, in indoor soccer action. Jason Hinson, Kevin Ruzek and Eric Yankalonis had unassisted goals for the Lightning. The other four goals were scored by Ben Stutzer (assisted by Ruzek), Marco Romanell (assisted by Jonathan Borozzi), Yankalonis (assisted Matt Bland) and Bland (assisted by Romanell).

The Outlaws' goal was scored by Jeremy Stifler and assisted by Mark Dimick.

The Harford Boys and Girls Club Bombers won their second Saturday League game at the Maryland Sports Arena with an 8-4 triumph over the Hickory Lazers.

Ted Jakubowski and Chris Jubb each scored twice, and Donnie Boxendahl, Maguel Barowski, Tom Guerrera and Jimmy Cassady added one each.

Stephen Guignet, Brandon O'Hara, Jakubowski, Josh Jones, Jubb and Guerrera had assists.

Under-14 -- Adam Meissner scored the lone goal off a long, centering pass from Tim Bowman late in the first half to lift the Harford Scorpions to a 1-0 shutout of White Marsh at Maryland Sports Arena. Keeper Jim Kop anchored the defense with 14 saves.

The Forest Hill Thunder rallied from a two-goal halftime deficit on goals by Larry Garrison and Steve Thompson to tie Belcamp, 2-2, Tuesday night at Maryland Sports Arena.
