Nov. 30: Sale at Exchange -- By John I. Gross, a piece of land in Baltimore County, called "Sheridine's Discovery," lying on the west side of the York Turnpike, containing nearly 48 acres, with a comfortable two story log house that sold for $1,800 -- purchaser G. H. Wetter.

Nov. 28: Checks for the salaries of the Baltimore County public school teachers, to be paid in Baltimore next Friday and Saturday, will be drawn on the Manufacturers' National Bank, Baltimore, from which bank the county school board borrowed $35,000 to pay salaries and bills due.

Nov. 30: The Liberty ship J. Fred Essary, named for the late chief of the Washington Bureau of The Sun, will be launched at 3:45 p.m. today at the Bethlehem-Fairfield Shipyard.
