State approves design plans of new CCC library

November 25, 1993

Plans for designing the new Carroll Community College Library were approved by the state Board of Public Works on Wednesday.

Probst-Mason Inc. Architects of Baltimore will begin designing Carroll County Community College's learning resources center.

The board approved a $373,336 contract for the center's design.

The 51,000-square-foot facility for the Westminster campus 'is basically a library, with additional features," said Richard Lindsay, assistant chief with the Bureau of Building Construction.

"We only have three buildings now, so this is quite an addition," Mr. Lindsay said.

The planned $10-million learning resources center building will include a main library space as well as classrooms, offices, a health suite and a mail room.
