Susan Boyer appointed to realty committee

Susan Boyer, an agent with Hyatt Real Estate, has been appointed to the Property Management Committee of the Anne Arundel County Association of Realtors.

Ms. Boyer has been a residential property manager since 1987 and joined Hyatt in March of this year.

The committee is responsible for setting standards and creating formats for property managers and real estate agents.

R.E. Michel Co. hires marketing specialist

The R.E. Michel Co., a Glen Burnie-based heating, air conditioning and refrigeration distributor, has hired Stephen M. Neathery as marketing specialist, a newly-created position.

Mr. Neathery will be responsible for the development and implementation of marketing programs and research for new products. He also will assist in creating programs and generating corporate press releases.

Formerly accounts manager for another wholesale distributor, Mr. Neathery has a background that includes extensive experience in the industry.

Michael Wilt awarded board certification

Michael A. Wilt, Sr. of Ferndale has been awarded board certification in Manufactured Housing Valuation by the Professional Certification Board.

Mr. Wilt, who works for Abhet Services Inc., a claims services company in the BWI Airport area, received the certification after completing rigorous educational requirements, written examinations and demonstrating his preparation for performing appraisals.

Meridian Healthcare names two directors

Meridian Healthcare Center-Spa Creek has named two directors to the subacute care department at the facility, which is scheduled to open in January of 1994.

Dr. Steven Fuller was appointed medical director of subacute care at the facility, while Dona Holland Benford was named director of subacute care.

Dr. Fuller is associated with Annapolis Medical Specialists and currently serves as staff physician or pulmonary and critical care medicine at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Ms. Benford comes to Spa Creek with an extensive background in nursing supervision and instruction at several area colleges, and is a certified neurosurgical registered nurse.

J. Stuart Neff wins sales award

J. Stuart Neff, district manager in Edgewater for the Franklin, Springfield, Ill., has qualified for one of the insurance company's top sales awards.

Mr. Neff is now a member of The Franklin's $2/100 Million Club, comprising associates who sell two million dollars of life insurance protection within 100 consecutive calendar days.
