Benson-Hammond open house planned

The Ann Arrundell County Historical Society will present its annual Candlelight Christmas Open House at the historic Benson-Hammond House. The public is invited to share in the celebration of a 19th-century farmhouse Christmas from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 4 and 5.

Decorated period rooms, museum exhibits and guides in period dress interpret Christmas traditions from the past. Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for senior citizens and children ages 6 to 12, free for children 6 and under. Admission includes light refreshments.

The Benson-Hammond House, at Andover Road and Aviation Boulevard, will be open for tours Wednesday through Saturday through Dec. 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

4-wheel drive owners sought by hospital

Harbor Hospital Center is seeking owners of four-wheel drive vehicles who would be willing to take key personnel to work during inclement weather.
