Charges filed in attack, theft of starter jacket

November 23, 1993

An 18-year-old Pasadena man was charged with robbery and assault after four assailants robbed a Brooklyn Park man of his starter jacket Sunday morning.

According to the police report, David D. Marsh, 19, of the 3500 block of 3rd St. in Brooklyn Park was standing at Cuba Drive and Outing Avenue at 1:25 a.m. when four men walked up and began arguing with him.

One of the men threatened Mr. Marsh with a large wooden ax handle and Mr. Marsh ran down Cuba Drive, police said.

But the four men caught him and one punched Mr. Marsh and took his starter jacket, police said. They were last seen driving away in a 1981 Chevrolet Citation.

The owner of the Citation, Michael Anthony Baker, of the 100 block of Cornish Lane was identified by Mr. Marsh as one of the four men who robbed him, the police report said. Investigators were still looking for three other men.
