Essex CC women win JuCo title with 4-0 romp

TRENTON, N.J. -- Kim Dorzey (Catholic) scored twice as Essex Community College (18-1-1) captured the National Junior College Athletic Association women's soccer title with a 4-0 victory over Monroe CC (19-1-2) of Rochester, N.Y., yesterday.

Robyn Depasquale (Mercy), who scored all three goals in a semifinal win over Florissant Valley (Mo.) CC, was named tournament Most Valuable Player. Sophomore goalie Colleen Grady had 12 saves yesterday and was named outstanding goalkeeper.

Earlier in the season, Essex played Monroe to a 2-2 tie.
