BALTIMORE CITY

* SHOOTING: Eastern District -- A woman was shot in the right thigh in the 600 block of N. Chester Ave. about 12:05 a.m. yesterday.

* BURGLARY: Eastern District -- Someone pried open a window of Mack's Barber Shop in the 1700 block of N. Wolfe St. early yesterday. It was not immediately known what was taken.

* STOLEN CAR: Eastern District -- A 1988 Mazda, with Maryland license tags ZYM-229, was taken yesterday morning from the 1000 block of E. North Ave.

* STOLEN CAR: Northeastern District -- A 1992 Geo, with Maryland tags AHE-433, was stolen early yesterday from the 4000 block of Shannon Drive.

* STOLEN CAR: Northeastern District -- A 1993 Dodge, with Maryland tags TFF-012, was stolen yesterday morning from the 3800 block of Bonview Ave.

* STOLEN CAR: Northeastern District -- A 1993 Honda Accord, with Maryland vanity tags SHIRITA, was stolen yesterday morning from the 5400 block of Bucknell Road.

* STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1986 Chevrolet, Maryland tags AWV-467, was stolen from the 2800 block of Edgecomb Circle North early yesterday.

* SHOOTING: Western District -- Two men were wounded -- one of them the apparent target, the other while walking nearby -- by a gunman who climbed out of the back seat of a car that stopped in the 2900 block of Winchester St.

* AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Southwestern District -- A man was walking in the 800 block of Poplar Grove St. shortly after midnight yesterday when he was approached by a heavyset man who struck him in the back with a trash can.

* ARMED ROBBERY: Southern District -- Two men used a handgun to rob a Yellow Cab driver around 5 a.m. yesterday in the 2400 block of Maisel Court, taking the victim's wallet, a car phone and the taxicab.

* SHOOTING: Southeastern District -- A 19-year-old woman was wounded in the face, allegedly by her 18-year-old boyfriend, early yesterday in the 700 block of Baylis St. The boyfriend was charged with assault.

* BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- Someone broke in through the front door of a home in the 800 block of S. Montford Ave. early yesterday and made off with $580 in cash.

* ARMED ROBBERY: Central District -- Two men threatened a woman with a handgun early yesterday in the 200 block of E. Pratt St., taking her purse and $30.

BALTIMORE COUNTY

* ROBBERY: Wilkens District -- A man grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash in a McDonald's restaurant in the 5600 block of Baltimore National Pike yesterday morning.

* ARMED ROBBERY: Wilkens District -- A convenience store employee making a night deposit at a drive-through bank window was robbed at gunpoint in the 700 block of N. Rolling Road at 5:30 p.m. yesterday. A man wearing a ski mask stuck the gun barrel into the woman's open car window and demanded the money. He fled -- with an undisclosed amount of cash -- with a second man in a two-door, dark-blue Mazda dented on the right side.
