Drug raid nets three arrests in St. Margarets

Two men and a woman were arrested late Wednesday on drug charges after county police raided a house in St. Margarets, county police said yesterday.

The raid was part of a continuing investigation into drug dealing in the Middletown Road area, police said.

Members of the Eastern District Tactical Narcotics Team, armed with a search and seizure warrant, raided the home in the 1400 block of Middletown Road about 11 p.m.

Detectives said they recovered a sawed-off shotgun and paraphernalia used to process and ingest crack cocaine and heroin.

Charged with possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia were Shawn Michael Downs, 34, of the 200 block of Ternwing Drive, Arnold; Tina Londean Thomas, 37, of the 1400 block of Middletown Road; and Edward Leon Bunch, 34, of the 1200 block of Summit Drive, Annapolis.

Firefighters to offer bull and oyster roast

The Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company is sponsoring a bull and oyster roast from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Earleigh Heights Fire Hall.

Tickets are $16 a person and include oysters, pit beef, music and games of chance.
