Manchester woman, Pa. man hurt in crash

November 16, 1993

Two people were injured yesterday afternoon when a Chevy Cavalier and a Dodge 600 convertible collided at Route 482 and Leisters Church Road north of Westminster.

State Trooper David Warner said the driver of the convertible, James Gaiser, 79, of Union Dale, Pa., may not have seen Tammy Tipten of Manchester as she traveled eastbound in her Cavalier.

The Cavalier was pushed into a guard rail.

The Westminster Fire Department ambulance and a Pleasant Valley engine were called to the scene.

Ms. Tipten and Mr. Gaiser were taken to Carroll County General Hospital, where both were treated for minor injuries and released.
