FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- Kevin Bellamy rushed for 91 yards and scored three touchdowns and led Frostburg State (9-1) over Methodist College (4-6) 47-23 and into its first postseason playoff appearance in its 32-year history yesterday.

"Now we're in the elite 16," said Frostburg State head coach Mike McGlinchey. "It starts with over 250 schools and now its down to 16. I'm so proud of this team they deserve it."

This will be McGlinchey's fourth playoff appearance as a head coach. He took Salisbury State to the South Region Division III playoffs three times in the early 1980s -- including in '86 when the Sea Gulls finished as runner-ups. Pairings will be announced today at noon.

Frostburg State quarterback Gilbert Telleria threw three touchdown passes and scored another. Telleria finished 7-for-13 for 126 yards. Cornerback Neddy Veron made two interception returns to set up scoring drives in the second and final quarters.
