Outlook: The last time these two teams met, Washington was in the midst of a six-game losing streak to start the season. And on Oct. 11, at Madison Square Garden, Washington played what general manager David Poile described as "the worst hockey game I've ever seen." Now, the Capitals are 9-7 after Thursday's 4-1 win at Tampa Bay, having won six games in a row and nine of 10. The Rangers, led by D Brian Leetch and F Adam Graves, are 7-0-1 after Wednesday's 2-1 victory over Winnipeg. G Mike Richter set a career record in that game with his 10th straight start of the season and is likely to play again tonight. Alex Kaposolv (bruised left hip) and Mike Hudson (fractured hand) have been out for some time, but both could be ready to play tonight. Caps F Alan May (broken hand) will be out three to four weeks.
