Los Angeles Dodgers -- Hired Rick Monday as a broadcaster.

Minnesota Twins -- Named Earl Frishman East Coast scouting supervisor. Added P Todd Ritchie, P Ron Caridad, P Carlos Pulido and C Mike Durant to the roster.

New York Mets -- Hired Gary Thorne as a broadcaster.

NBA -- Fined Chicago Bulls G Pete Myers $5,000 for hitting the Miami Heat's Steve Smith in the back of the head with a forearm Saturday.
