Hampstead optometrist attends convention

Dr. Thomas P. Kenney, an optometrist who practices in Hampstead and Glyndon, attended the William Feinbloom Low Vision Symposium Nov. 7 at the Eye Institute of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.

The topics were "Brain Injury and Stroke Diagnosis" and "Vision Rehabilitation Management Strategies."

Hampstead students display their artwork

The Hampstead office of Long & Foster Realtors, in the Robert's Field Shopping Center, is displaying fall art posters made by students in the first through third grades at Hampstead Elementary School.

Long & Foster offers scholarships

Long & Foster Real Estate, with offices in Eldersburg, Hampstead and Westminster, is observing its 25th anniversary by announcing a scholarship program for high school seniors entering an accredited four-year college or university.

The one-time, $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to 25 students on May 1, 1994.

Eligible seniors must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher, show financial need, indicate positions of leadership they have held while a student, list memberships in school groups and community organizations, and tell whether they have held a part-time job while in school.

Applications can be obtained from any Long & Foster office. The deadline to apply is March 1.
