Second in a 3-part series on solid waste to be aired

A video satellite conference series, "Local Options for Managing Solid Waste", will air the second program in the three-part series from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Hickory Ridge Building, Room #3, at 10650 Hickory Ridge Road, and at satellite sites in 33 states.

The interactive program, sponsored by the Maryland % 5/8 Cooperative Extension Service, will showcase exemplary solid waste facilities and practices nationwide and will feature discussion from national analysts.

The program will feature an overview of source reduction and recycling.

The final section on Dec. 8 will offer principles of waste processing, composting and incineration.
