Dart chairman wins ruling

Dart Group Corp. Chairman Herbert Haft, embroiled in a bitter family dispute, won a ruling yesterday to stop his wife and a son from dissolving partnerships, which could cause losses of up to $91 million.

Washington District of Columbia Superior Judge Rufus King granted a preliminary injunction on a motion by Mr. Haft and son Ronald to stop a move by Mr. Haft's estranged wife, Gloria, and another son, Robert, to withdraw from 18 joint partnerships. Judge King said dissolutions of the ventures could result in loan defaults of $71 million to $91 million.
