2 assailants strike man with their car, steal $500

November 03, 1993

A 19-year-old Pasadena man was robbed of $500 early yesterday by two men who struck him with their car and threatened him with a gun and a crowbar, county police said.

Scott Keith Delimater told police he was walking in the 7700 block of Outing Ave. at 1:50 a.m., when two men in a car pulled up next to him. One of the men asked Mr. Delimater whether he had any money.

When Mr. Delimater, of the 8500 block of Neptune Drive, said he did, the man got out of the car and demanded the money.

The two began struggling as the driver aimed the car at Mr. Delimater, striking him in the leg.

The car also struck a telephone pole, police said.

The first man out of the car told Mr. Delimater that he had a gun, and the driver got out with a crowbar, police said.

When Mr. Delimater gave the men $500, they ran off, leaving the car behind, police said.
