BALTIMORE CITY

* SUSPICIOUS FIRE: Southeastern District -- Police and fire officials were investigating a fire early yesterday in the harbor at the end of the 800 block of S. Caroline St. west of Fells Point that destroyed one sailboat, damaged another and burned a section of a pier. A damage estimate was not immediately available.

* BURGLARY/ARRESTS: Northeastern District -- Police arrested three men who entered an apartment in the 4300 block of Moravia Road Monday and stole stereo equipment valued at nearly $300. The men were being held at the station pending charges and bail hearings before a District Court commissioner.

* THEFT: Western District -- A man entered the McCrory store in the 2400 block of Liberty Heights Ave. Monday and stole property valued at nearly $10 and fled. In an unrelated incident Monday, an employee of the store was stopped when he tried to leave the store without paying for items valued at nearly $150. Charges were pending.

* CUTTING: Northern District -- Two brothers from the 2800 block of Maryland Ave. were fighting in their home Monday when one of them cut the other on the left shoulder with a 5-inch knife. The injured brother refused medical treatment at the scene. No arrest had been made.

* BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone entered a house in the 200 block of S. Gilmor St. after breaking a rear window Monday and stole two telephones and several coins.

BALTIMORE COUNTY

* ROBBERY/ARREST: Parkville District -- A man dressed as a woman, who was returning home from a Halloween party, was walking in the 9400 block of Avondale Road early Monday morning when he was attacked by a man carrying an unidentified weapon who wrestled him to the ground and robbed him of a purse containing more than $100. During the brief scuffle, the victim sustained minor injuries. Later, a man fitting the description of the robber was seen standing behind the nearby Carney Elementary School and was arrested by Officer Frank Becker. Charged with assault and robbery was Winfred Matthews, 40, of the 3500 block of Fieldcreek Way in Parkville.

* BURGLARY: Towson District -- A mountain bike valued at $200 was stolen from a garage in the 8100 block of Conduit Road between Sunday and Monday.
