Printing company employee injured when paper roll falls

November 02, 1993

An employee of McGregor Printing Corp. in New Windsor was injured last night when a large roll of paper fell on his leg.

The man was flown to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore about 8:15 p.m.

A supervisor at the plant on New Windsor Road, who declined to be identified, said the man was putting a roll of paper on a pallet when his leg got caught between the roll and a wall. The supervisor said the victim was taken to Shock Trauma to determine if he had suffered internal injuries. The supervisor declined to identify the victim or give other details.

Paramedics from the New Windsor Volunteer Fire Department responded to the call.

"It didn't look serious," said New Windsor Chief Jerry Leese. "The victim was conscious and talking to us the whole time."
