Fighting Chance to offer self-defense for women

A "Women's Self-Defense Seminar," conducted by Fighting Chance, an independently operated women's self-defense bTC program, will meet from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Hawthorn Neighborhood Center at 6175 Sunny Spring.

The seminar, designed and taught by women, will include rape defenses, kicking and striking techniques, releases against grabs and chokes, defense techniques from the ground and defense against weapons.

The fee is $40. Discounts are available if paid by Nov. 1. Additional discounts are available for groups of three or more.
