Baltimore City

* SHOOTING: Eastern District -- A 16-year-old boy was shot in the right thigh Sunday evening by an unknown gunman in the 1600 block of N. Port St. The victim, a resident of the 1600 block of N. Bradford St. whose name was not released because of his age, was found lying in the street shortly before 7 p.m. by police responding to a report of a shooting. After treatment by the crew of a city Fire Department ambulance, the youth was taken to Francis Scott Key Medical Center, where he was in stable condition. Anyone with information about the man who shot the youth is urged to call the Eastern District at 396-2433.

* ASSAULT/ARREST: Western District -- A resident of the 700 block of N. Payson St. suffered a broken right wrist Saturday when she was dragged by a car near her home. Police said that after the victim was assaulted by a man she knows, the man tried to force her into his car. Police said when she refused, the man sped off, dragging the woman whose arm was caught in the door along the street. The incident was witnessed by Officer Frank Blucher, who arrested a man a short distance away. Charged with aggravated assault is James Bennett, 31, of the 400 block of Hidden Brook Drive, Baltimore County. The woman was treated at Bon Secours Hospital.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 700 block of N. Carrollton Ave. was in the 1700 block of W. Mulberry St. Sunday when two men robbed him of $5 and a duffel bag he was carrying.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a vacant business in the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Ave. Sunday and stole an aluminum ladder valued at $45.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- Property valued at more than $500 was stolen from Watkins & Holmes Printing in the 800 block of N. Fremont Ave. Sunday by someone who entered by breaking a rear window.

* BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A microwave oven and computer equipment, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen over the weekend from a house in the 2900 block of Norfolk Ave.

* ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A man with a piece of metal pipe robbed Benjie's grocery store in the 4000 block of Gwynn Oak Ave. Saturday of an undisclosed sum of money after striking an employee with the weapon.

* ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the first block of N. Bernice Ave. was in the 2500 block of Garrison Blvd. Saturday when a gunman robbed him of a small sum of money.

* CARJACKING: Southeastern District -- A resident of the 500 block of S. Marlyn Ave. in Essex was stopped at a red light in the 800 block of North Point Road Saturday night when two men, one with a gun, entered the car and forced him to drive toward Baltimore County. When the men entered Delaware about an hour later, they robbed the motorist of $60 before forcing him from the car and driving off. The victim reported the robbery to New Castle, Del., police, who transported him to the Maryland line. There, the man was transported to the city, where he reported the incident.

* ROBBERY: North Point District -- Two men, one with a handgun, entered the Sizzler restaurant in the 800 block of North Point Blvd. around closing Sunday night and locked several employees inside a walk-in cooler before stealing an undisclosed sum of money. The men escaped in a blue and tan 1980 Buick with Maryland tags ZJX 702 that belonged to one of the employees. The employees left the cooler unharmed several minutes later and called police.
