5 arrested, charged with possession of drugs

County police arrested three people for possession of cocaine and two for possession with intent to distribute outside a Suburbia tavern early yesterday morning.

Police said they investigated after seeing a group of people acting suspiciously inside a car. One person dropped a plastic bag containing 5 grams of cocaine valued at $500, police said.

Frank Edmond Miller, 33, of the 3300 block of St. Benedict St. in Baltimore, and Michael Thomas Carter, 27, of the 300 block of Luther Road in Glen Burnie, were charged with possession with intent to distribute. Ronald Timothy Stevens, 34, of the 1700 block of Sexton St. in Baltimore, and Michelle Victoria Swidowich, 29, and Amanda Elizabeth Swidowich, 23, both of the 2900 block of Alabama Avenue in Baltimore Highlands, were charged with possession of cocaine.

Man allegedly threatens teen-age girl

A 15-year-old girl told police that she was threatened by a man who said he had a gun as she walked in her church parking lot Thursday.

According to the police report, the girl was walking through the parking lot of the Glen Lutheran Church at Carroll Road and Delaware Avenue at 6:40 a.m. when a man walked up to her and told her not to move. He said he had a gun, but the girl did not see it and she ran away.
