Route 140 crash sends three people to hospital

October 29, 1993

Two men, who were able to crawl out of their overturned car after a collision with a second auto on Route 140 at Glen Falls Road, were taken to Carroll County General Hospital about 4:30 p.m. yesterday.

The men, one with a head injury, were in a Toyota Tercel going west on Route 140 when it collided with a Chevrolet Cavalier pulling out of Glen Falls Road, according to Baltimore County police.

After the crash the Tercel crossed the center line of the highway, hitting the embankment and overturning, police said.

A passenger in the Cavalier also was transported to the hospital for a checkup because of his age, Baltimore County police said.

Three medic units from Baltimore and Carroll Counties were dispatched to the scene to transport the injuried.

Traffic on Route 140 was delayed by the accident, which blocked the two eastbound lanes.

The driver of the Cavalier was not injured, police said.
