Glen Burnie woman robbed on Furnace Branch Road

A 22-year-old Glen Burnie woman was robbed yesterday by a man believed to be armed with a knife as she walked down Furnace Branch Road near her home, county police said.

Georgean Marie Hodgson, 22, told police she was attacked near Margate Drive about 7 a.m. She said a man came up to her from behind, stuck what she thinks is a knife in her back and said, "Give me your money."

Ms. Hodgson said she gave the suspect money from her purse.

Man with gun robs convenience store

A man armed with a handgun robbed a Glen Burnie convenience store Wednesday night and escaped with an undetermined amount of money, county police said yesterday.

The incident occurred about 9:30 p.m. when the man walked into Foods R In, on Crain Highway and Crainmount Drive, and threatened two employees with an unknown caliber handgun, police said.

The man, between 18 and 25 years old, took money from the workers and the cash register and ran toward the Nolpark Drive Apartment complex.
