Annapolis' Brown won't play for Terps

October 19, 1993|By Don Markus

Tammy Brown, a 5-foot-7 point guard from Annapolis who transferred earlier this year from Anne Arundel Community College to the University of Maryland, will not play for the Terrapins.

Maryland coach Chris Weller declined to discuss reasons for Brown's departure, saying only: "I'm not commenting. It's the fairest way for both sides."

Brown, who could not be reached for comment, is the second point guard to leave the team in recent months.

Lena Patterson transferred to Frostburg State during the summer.
