October 19, 1993

A 14-year-old girl was raped by a male acquaintance Sunday afternoon after he stopped by her Linthicum home, county police reported yesterday.

Police said the 17-year-old boy stopped by the girl's home about noon. Authorities said he had known the girl for three weeks.

While both were in the girl's bedroom talking and looking at magazines, the male teen allegedly tried to kiss the victim and made other sexual overtures, which police said the girl repeatedly rejected.

Police said the 17-year-old then forced the girl onto the bed and raped her.

As of yesterday, the juvenile had not been arrested by police, who only had his first name and an approximate address of Baltimore.

Man, 29, robbed in Brooklyn Park

A 29-year-old man was robbed of $300 by two men early Sunday in Brooklyn Park, county police reported yesterday.

Michael D. Trimble of the 4900 block of Brookwood Road told police he was walking on Brookwood Road near 11th Avenue about 12:15 a.m. when two men approached him and asked for a light.

When Mr. Trimble reached into his pocket, one of the men grabbed his hand and the other man struck him in the back of the head with an unknown object, police said.

One of the men then reached into Mr. Trimble's pocket and took his wallet. The two then ran down Brookwood Road.

Mr. Trimble said he chased the suspects. While he did not catch up to them, he did recover his wallet. But $300 had been stolen.
