Mutch is elected to chamber board

Patrick F. Mutch, president of Greater Laurel Beltsville Hospital, has been elected to a three-year term on the board of directors of the Baltimore/Washington Corridor Chamber.

Mr. Mutch has served as Greater Laurel president since December 1989. Under his leadership the hospital has undertaken a $7 million expansion and renovation program.

Prior to coming to Greater Laurel, Mr. Mutch served as president and chief executive officer of the Children's Hospital and Center For Reconstructive Surgery in Baltimore.

Mr. Mutch resides in Baltimore with his wife, Amy, and their two children, Abigail and Elliott.

POLICE LOG

Jessup:8100 block of Sheffield Court: A resident returned home Thursday and found the alarm activated and the front door opened. Nothing appeared to have been taken, police said.

First block of Reille Way: Someone attempted to pry open a living room window Saturday, police said.

North Laurel:9500 block of Sylvan Still Road: A VCR, CD player, credit cards and other items were stolen Friday. Police are not sure how the home was entered.
