Bowie State grounded in 16-2 loss Elizabeth City holds Bulldogs to 138 yds.

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. -- Elizabeth City State won for the first time this season as it limited Bowie State to 138 total yards in a 16-2 victory yesterday in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association game.

The Vikings (1-6, 1-5 CIAA) led 16-0 at halftime on Shawn Walker's 28-yard scoring pass in the first quarter and on Aaron Murchinson's 8-yard touchdown run.

Bowie State (1-5-1, 1-4-1) was held to 43 yards rushing on 30 attempts.
