Burglars break into the Horizons and steal property from six offices

Burglars smashed their way into six offices in the Horizons office building in the 8000 block of Ritchie Highway Thursday night, making off with an undetermined amount of property.

County police said the burglaries were discovered by a cleaning woman who had arrived at the offices about 7 a.m. Friday.

The burglars forced open a fire door to get into the accounting offices of Peroutka, Peroutka and Mead, where they stole computer equipment and other property valued at $7,900.

They then smashed the adjoining walls to five other offices. Police said they don't know what was taken from those offices.
