Couple at home during break-in

October 11, 1993

Someone broke into the home of a Severna Park couple while they were watching television Wednesday night and stole an undetermined amount of money from a plastic jug they kept in the bedroom, county police said.

Susan Morris, 26, told police she and her husband were watching television in the living room of their house in the 400 block of Bottesford Court about 9:45 p.m. when they heard a crash upstairs.

When Ms. Morris went upstairs to investigate, she found the jug -- with some money still in it -- outside on the deck. The sliding-glass door and the bathroom window were open.

She told police she didn't see anyone and nothing else was taken.
