Broadneck's Shuck resigns

October 08, 1993

Broadneck assistant athletic director Tim McMullen confirmed yesterday that Leann Shuck has resigned as girls lacrosse coach to accept an assistant coaching position at William & Mary College.

Shuck, a former All-American at the University of Maryland who helped Broadneck win a state championship as a player in 1987, had led the Bruins into the playoffs in each of her two seasons as coach. They were eliminated by Annapolis last year, 9-7, in the region semifinals.

"We're happy for Leann, but it will be difficult to replace her," McMullen said, adding that the school is advertising the position.

Shuck, who earlier this year resigned as girls soccer coach at South River after one season, could not be reached for comment.
