Baltimore City

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 500 block of Beaumont Ave. through a kitchen window between Friday and Monday and stole a VCR, a compact disc player and several compact discs, all valued at more than $1,000.

CARJACKNG: Southwestern District -- A hacker, an unlicensed taxi driver, picked up two men at North Fulton Avenue and West Lanvale Street Monday night and was directed to take them to the 1800 block of Ashburton St. There, one of the men pulled out a handgun and demanded the hacker's money. When the hacker, a 37-year-old resident of the 4600 block of Manordene Road, jumped out of his car in an effort to escape, the gunman shot him in the right side. The gunman and his accomplice then drove off in the victim's car. The victim was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

ASSAULT: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 2000 block of Penrose Ave. was in the 4000 block of Barrington Road Monday when he was attacked by at least one other person who knocked him to the pavement and struck him several times.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1800 block of N. Mount St. was in the 2400 block of Pennsylvania Ave. Monday afternoon when she was attacked by a man who struck her on the head and neck and robbed her of $5.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 1100 block of N. Carrollton Ave. of property valued at $50 in the 600 block of N. Bentalou St. Monday.

THEFT: Southern District -- Jewelry and coins, all valued at more than $200, were stolen from a house in the 3800 block of 10th St. between Sept. 25 and Oct. 4.

THEFT/ARREST: Southern District -- Police arrested a man who attempted to leave the Rite-Aid pharmacy in the 2100 block of W. Patapsco Ave. Monday without paying for items of an undisclosed value.

ROBBERY/ARREST: Southern District -- A resident of the 1700 block of Light St. was in the 1000 block of Light St. Monday when a man robbed him of his money and escaped. Later, police arrested a suspect and were holding him at the station pending charges and a bail hearing.

THEFT: Southern District -- A radio valued at $50 was stolen from a 1982 Dodge while the vehicle was parked in the 1500 block of Cypress St. over the weekend.

THEFT: Southern District -- Power tools valued at more than $2,000 were stolen from a 1990 Chevrolet over the weekend while the vehicle was parked in the 1400 block of Battery Ave.

THEFT: Southern District -- Someone entered a house in the 1200 block of James St. Monday and stole a watch valued at $100.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- A shotgun valued at more than $500 was stolen from a house in the 3000 block of Elizabeth Ave. Monday.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Computer equipment valued at nearly $1,900 was stolen from a construction company's trailer between Saturday and Monday while it was parked in the 700 block of S. Monroe St.

THEFT: Southern District -- A gold chain valued at $500 was stolen Monday from a house in the 2900 block of Carver Road.

STOLEN CAR: Southern District -- A 1988 Ford, the property of the CSX railroad, was stolen from the 100 block of E. McComas St. Monday.

STOLEN CAR/ARREST: Southern District -- Police arrested a man they suspect stole a 1993 Ford from the 3000 block of Round Road Monday. They recovered the car.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone entered a garage in the 4100 block of 4th St. between Saturday and Monday and stole two bikes valued at $200.

Baltimore County

CAR THEFT ATTEMPT: Parkville District -- Someone attempted to steal a 1991 Ford Escort from the property of Bob Davidson Ford in the 1800 block of E. Joppa Road Sunday or Monday while the vehicle was at the dealership for repairs.

THEFT: Parkville District -- An organ valued at more than $4,000 was stolen from a truck owned by S. H. Jackson Inc. of the 11400 block of Reisterstown Road while the vehicle was parked in the first block of Melkin Court Sunday or Monday.
