Manfusos haven't pulled trigger

October 05, 1993|By Ross Peddicord

At the close of business yesterday, Laurel/Pimlico operator Joe De Francis had not received an offer from his minority partners, Tom and Bob Manfuso, to sell their shares in the tracks.

The Manfusos have stated that "on or about Oct. 1" they will trigger a Russian roulette clause in a stockholders agreement that they have with De Francis which could start the process for one side to buy out the other.

According to the agreement, the other party must receive the offer by certified mail or hand delivery.

Tom Manfuso and his Baltimore attorney Herb Garten had no comment.
