Severn upends Friends in field hockey, 2-0 Girls sports

Davney Boye and Erin Fowler scored as No. 15 Severn upset No. 3 Friends, 2-0, in an AIS field hockey game yesterday. Goalkeeper Jill Stursa had three saves for Severn (2-1-2).

* St. Mary's 1, Old Mill 0: Alexis Wasowski scored in the first overtime to lift St. Mary's (4-0-2) by Old Mill (3-3).

* Bryn Mawr 2, Sidwell Friends (D.C.) 0: Dabney Barner broke a scoreless tie with a second half goal as No. 5 Bryn Mawr defeated Sidwell Friends.

* Bel Air 3, Edgewood 0: Bel Air's Jamie Kunkle scored on penalty corner and Colleen Hammock scored on a penalty shot as No. 14 Bel Air shut out Edgewood.

Girls soccer

* Hammond 6, Seton Keough 0: Melanie Morris made 15 saves as No. 2 Hammond's topped visiting Seton Keough.

* Severna Park 1, Broadneck 0: Carrie Budzinski scored with 3:40 to play in the second half to lead No. 3 Severna Park (4-0) past No. 13 Broadneck (1-2-1).

* Centennial 5, Bel Air 0: Michelle Clare had a hat trick to lead host No. 5 Centennial (2-0-1) by Bel Air.

* C. Milton Wright 6, Mount Hebron 0: Amanda Moculski scored three goals to spark the No. 6 Mustangs (3-0-1) past the Vikings.

* Old Mill 6, Northeast 0: Old Mill's Michelle Salmon had four goals to carry the No. 8 Patriots over Northeast.

* Oakland Mills 5, North Hagerstown 0: Jenny Dye had two goals as host and No. 9 Oakland Mills beat North Hagerstown.
