* SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 3200 block of Windsor Ave. was listed in fair condition at the University of Maryland Medical Center after being shot in the side by one of two men in the 2100 block of Booth St. Tuesday night.

* SHOOTING: Southern District -- A 21-year-old resident of the 6100 block of St. Regis Ave. was in the 1500 block of McHenry St. Tuesday afternoon when a gunman began chasing him. The victim ran into the Chances Are bar and was requesting someone there to call the police when the gunman entered the bar and fired at least six shots, hitting the victim twice in the right side and stomach. The gunman escaped. The victim was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was listed in serious condition.

* BURGLARY/ARRESTS: Western District -- Police arrested two men who entered a city-owned house in the 1400 block of Presstman St. Tuesday and stole a furnace. The men were being held pending charges.

* RAPE: Northern District -- Police were seeking a man who attacked a resident of the 2000 block of E. Federal St. in an alley off the 3000 block of Greenmount Ave. Monday night and raped her. The woman was taken to Mercy Medical Center.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 100 block of Gittings Ave. was riding his bike in the 2300 block of N. Howard St. Tuesday when a man knocked him to the pavement and stole the bike, valued at nearly $400.

* ROBBERY TRY/ARREST: Northern District -- -- Police arrested a man who attempted to rob a resident of the 1100 block of N. Arlington St. in the 2300 block of N. Charles St. Tuesday evening. When the suspect asked the victim for money and was refused more than once, the man struck the victim and bit him. The suspect was arrested near the scene.

* ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 3300 block of Bateman Ave. was in the 2700 block of N. Denison St. Tuesday when three men, one with a handgun, exited a white Cadillac that stopped nearby and robbed him of jewelry valued at nearly $200.

* BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A 20-inch TV set with a remote control device and three diamond rings, all valued at nearly $1,000, were stolen from a house in the 3400 block of Park Heights Ave. Tuesday by someone who entered through a window.

* ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Two men, one with a handgun, exited a car in the 4600 block of Reisterstown Road Tuesday and robbed two men of their money. One victim, a resident of the 5500 block of Wabash Ave., was robbed of $85. The other victim, a resident of the 3100 block of Sumter Ave., was robbed of $40.


* BURGLARY: Parkville District -- Someone entered a house being built in the first block of Parkhill Place between Monday and Tuesday andstole several wooden kitchen cabinets valued at more than $1,000.

* BURGLARY: Parkville District -- Someone entered Leonardo's pizza shop in the 7600 block of Belair Road early Tuesday morning through the rooftop ventilation system but fled without taking any property when the burglar alarm went off.

* BURGLARY: Cockeysville District -- Someone entered a house in the 16500 block of Dubbs Road in Sparks Tuesday after breaking a rear window and stole a VCR, jewelry and a compact disc player, all valued at more than $1,000.

* BURGLARY: Cockeysville District -- An 18-inch multispeed bike valued at nearly $400 was stolen from a house in the 700 block of Stoney Mill Court in Timonium Tuesday by someone who entered through a sliding glass door.
