Baltimore City

SUSPICIOUS FIRE: Western District -- A two-alarm fire that destroyed a vacant three-story brick rowhouse in the 1400 block of N. Mount St. Tuesday night has been ruled suspicious. Reported at 11:59 p.m., the fire destroyed all three floors of 1426 N. Mount St. and damaged the roofs and upper floors of two adjacent vacant houses at 1424 and 1428, one of which was being renovated. Nearby residents were evacuated due to dense smoke but no injuries were reported. The fire was declared under control in about 40 minutes.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a man who threatened a woman in her home in the 2300 block of Winchester St. Tuesday and caused her to jump out of a second-floor window. The injured woman was taken to Bon Secours Hospital.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered C & C Auto Repair in the 2200 block of Reisterstown Road Tuesday and stole tools valued at $2,000.

STOLEN CAR: Western District -- -- A 1988 Oldsmobile with Maryland tags ZCS687 was stolen from the 2400 block of Woodbrook Ave. between Monday and Tuesday.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Tools valued at more than $1,000 were stolen from the C&P Telephone Co. in the 2000 block of Windsor Ave. between Monday and Tuesday.

BURGLARY: Western District -- An electronic keyboard valued at more than $100 was stolen from the Tabernacle of God Church in the 1500 block of Winchester St. between Sunday and Monday.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered the American Legion Post No. 2 in the 3600 block of Hickory Ave. through the front door between Monday and Tuesday and stole a case of beer and money.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1989 Pontiac with Maryland tags PWL869 and owned by a resident of the 4100 block of Buena Vista Ave. was stolen from the 700 block of W. 40th St. Tuesday.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A VCR valued at $200 was stolen from a house in the 4000 block of Falls Road Tuesday by someone who entered through the front door.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A 10-speed bike valued at more than $400 was stolen from a garage in the 200 block of Paddington Road between Monday and Tuesday.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 6400 block of Clearspring Ave. Tuesday after breaking a rear kitchen window with a cinder block and stole compact discs of unknown value.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered the Royal Lumber Co. in the 2500 block of Maryland Ave. between Monday and Tuesday by removing a window air conditioner and stole compouter equipment valued at more than $3,000.

STABBING: Northern District -- A resident of the 900 block of St. Dunstan's Road was stabbed in the left arm by a woman he knows during an incident in the 5600 block of Lothian Road Tuesday. The woman escaped and the victim was taken to Union Memorial Hospital.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 5300 block of Pembrook Ave. was leaving a store in the 2900 block of Garrison Boulevard Tuesday night when a gunman robbed him of a beeper and several rings, all valued at more than $700.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A 19-inch TV, a vacuum cleaner and clothing were stolen from a house in the 2900 block of Mount Holly St. Tuesday by someone who entered by breaking a basement window.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A 9mm semiautomatic handgun valued at $600 was stolen from the bedroom closet of an apartment in the 4700 block of Wakefield Road between September 23 and Tuesday.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A gunman robbed Murry's Steaks in the 4400 block of Park Heights Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money Tuesday. After the man entered an office to fill out a job application, he pulled out a handgun and ordered an employee to give him money.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Several pieces of furniture of unknown value were stolen from a house in the 3500 block of N. Hilton St. between Sunday and Tuesday by someone who entered through the kitchen door.

Baltimore County

BURGLARY: Towson District -- Computer equipment valued at $3,000 was stolen from a Towson State University office in the 8600 block of LaSalle Road between Monday and Tuesday. Entry was by breaking an glass office door. One other office in the same building also was entered but nothing appeared missing. A third office showed signs of attempted entry.

STOLEN VEHICLE: Towson District -- A 1992 Chevrolet Blazer with Maryland tags 488358M was stolen from a parking lot in the 8800 block of Orchard Tree Lane Tuesday.

ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- A man stole seven blank video tapes from the Magic Video, a sidewalk vendor at the Chadwick Manor Shopping Center in the 7100 block of Security Boulevard Tuesday. When the vendor asked attempted to stop the man, he brandished a knife and walked away.
