BALTIMORE CITY

* SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 2900 block of Banger St. was shot in the back, and a man from the 4100 block of Potter St. was shot in the left leg by a gunman in the 1000 block of S. Catherine St. Monday. Both men were taken to St. Agnes Hospital.

* SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 2700 block of W. Fairmount Ave. was near his home Monday when he was shot in the right leg by a gunman who escaped. The victim was taken to University of Maryland Medical Center.

* ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 3200 block of Shannon Drive was in the 3300 block of Dudley Ave. Monday when a man shoved her to the ground and stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $100.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police were seeking two men who entered an apartment in the 2600 block of Lovegrove St. Monday and stole a telephone answering machine, coins and cassette tapes, all of which were recovered.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1600 block of W. Lafayette Ave. was in the 800 block of N. Gilmor St. Wednesday when a gunman robbed him of $71, tennis shoes and jewelry worth $170.

* ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 6400 block of Elray Drive was walking near her home Monday when a man pushed her to the ground and stole her purse with cash and property worth $30.

* ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 3500 block of Lucille Ave. was robbed of $27 in the 4600 block of Homer Ave. Monday.

* STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A 1979 Pontiac with Maryland tags ZYP2783 was stolen from the 6300 block of Cordelia Ave. Monday.

* PURSE SNATCHING: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 2200 block of Bryant Ave. was in the 2800 block of Liberty Heights Ave. Monday when a man stole her purse with cash and property valued at $15.

BALTIMORE COUNTY

* ROBBERY/ARREST: Towson District -- A 35-year-old city man was arrested early yesterday and charged in the armed robbery of the Royal Farm store in the 7200 block of York Road. Officer Pete Grippi said the gunman took more than $100 from a cash register after forcing an employee into a bathroom. After a witness gave police a description of the gunman's car, it was spotted heading toward the city by Officer Grippi. At North Broadway and Harford Road, the car was stopped by Officer Grippi and city police and its driver arrested. In the car, police recovered money believed taken in the robbery. A handgun was jTC taken from the suspect. Charged with armed robbery is Anthony Leonard Brown, of the 1800 block of N. Bentalou St.

* THEFT: Parkville District -- Someone entered a storage locker in the basement of an apartment in the first block of Spindrift Circle between Sept. 24 and Sunday and stole a sleeping bag, tent, electronic keyboard and sports equipment worth $700.
