A 15-year-old Union Bridge girl remained in serious condition at the Washington Hospital Center trauma unit Friday night after she fell from the trunk of a car in Frederick County about 3:15 p.m. Thursday.

Missy Klipp of McKinstry Mill Road was riding in the trunk of a car with three other passengers on Knighton Court south of Libertytown when the accident occurred, according to the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.

Missy, who suffered head and other injuries, was flown to the hospital by state police helicopter.

Police said the driver, whom they would identify only as a juvenile, was charged with negligent driving.

Investigators said six passengers were inside the passenger compartment and another four in the trunk at the time of the accident.

Police said the group was on the way home after school.
