No. 11 Patterson rolls to 49-20 victory

Rod Lewis carried seven times for 116 yards and two touchdowns as No. 11 Patterson (4-0) defeated visiting Southwestern, 49-20, in a Baltimore City 4A League game. Southwestern (0-4) trailed 42-6 in the third quarter.

Lewis' touchdowns included runs of 39 and 31 yards. Lewis also had 11 tackles and a fumble recovery on defense.

Poly 38, Carver 0

Louis Randall scored two touchdowns as No. 2 Poly (4-0) defeated host Carver (1-3) in a Baltimore City 3A League game.

Poly jumped to a 15-0 first quarter lead on a 10-yard touchdown pass from Charles English to Arthur Peace and Randall's first touchdown.

N. County 28, Glen Burnie 14

Justin Rice passed for 249 yards and three touchdowns as No. 6 North County (4-0) held off Glen Burnie (2-2) in an Anne Arundel 4A League game.

C. M. Wright 35, H. de Grace 0

Jason Tharpe's 6-yard run ignited a 21-point fourth quarter as No. 7 C. Milton Wright (4-0) beat Havre de Grace (1-2) in a Harford County League game. Thorpe, who has nine touchdowns in four games, racked up 162 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries.

Annapolis 35, Old Mill 7

Kenny Boyd ran for touchdowns of 15 and eight yards as No. 10 Annapolis (3-1) defeated host Old Mill in an Anne Arundel County game.

Southern-B 10, Mervo 6

Andre Scott's 40-yard punt return in the fourth quarter lifted Southern (2-2) to a come-from-behind win over the Mustangs (0-4) in a Baltimore City 4A League game.

Northwestern 15, Northern 6

Albert Jarrett ran for a 35-yard touchdown to lead the Wildcats (1-3) past the host Vikings (0-4) in a Baltimore City 3A League game.

St. Paul's 35, Curley 0

Senior running back John Solter (159 yards on 13 carries) ran for three touchdowns to lead the Crusaders (3-1) past the visiting Friars (1-3) in an MSA B Conference game.

Gibbons 34, Boys' Latin 3

Quarterback Rocky Keener passed for 118 yards and three touchdowns to lead Cardinal Gibbons (2-0) over Boys' Latin (0-3) in a MSA B Conference contest. Chris Burley had 17 carries for 183 yards and a touchdown for the Crusaders.

Lake Clifton 28, Edmondson 0

Richard Matthews scored two touchdowns as Lake Clifton (4-0) defeated host Edmondson (0-4) in a Baltimore City 4A League game.

Edgewood 19, North Harford 0

Keene Turner rushed for 138 yards and Dwayne White threw two touchdown passes, leading Edgewood (2-2, 2-1) past North Harford (0-4, 0-3) in a Harford County game.

Severn 42, Spalding 0

Seven Severn players scored as the Admirals (2-2) defeated Spalding (0-4) in an MSA B Conference game.
