Nov. auction has All-Star items

Baseball fans with an All-Star fetish can bid on one of the bases used in this year's game along with other items at an

auction Nov. 12 to benefit children's charities, the Orioles announced yesterday.

Items to be sold at "Bid for Kids: The All-Star Memorabilia Auction" include a base, baseballs, locker name plates, jerseys worn by the players, All-Star press pins, media guides, programs and tickets to the game encased in plastic.

Many of the items have been autographed.

Tickets for the auction are $15 for adults, and $3 for children under 12 years old.

The event will be held at Oriole Park at 6 p.m.

Proceeds from Bids for Kids: The All-Star Memorabilia Auction will benefit the Orioles Childrens Charities.
