Westinghouse, Bethlehem get good news on jobs

Hundreds of Maryland jobs will be either added or preserved thanks to major new contracts at two of the state's largest employers.

The Westinghouse Electronic Systems Group in Linthicum said 500 jobs would be preserved after it received three contracts worth more than $250 million.

And more than 400 jobs could be added to the Sparrows Point shipyard thanks to a pending contract to renovate two cargo vessels.
