2 teens charged with drug possession

Two teen-agers were charged with drug possession Wednesday night after undercover police officers saw an alleged crack cocaine deal in front of a Brooklyn Park convenience store.

Police said they received a tip about a drug deal at a High's Store at Church and Sixth streets about 10:40 p.m.

Officers watched as a 17-year-old male handed a 16-year-old female a pager that had been converted into a container for drugs, according to the police report.

Police said they arrested the two and found 12 small bags of crack cocaine, weighing a total of 2.2 grams and with a street value of $480.

The owners of the home, in the 4600 block of Fourth St., said that when they returned home about 7:30 a.m. the set was missing from the living room.

Police said the burglars entered the house through a window screen.
