'Peeping' cases investigated

Police are investigating a series of "Peeping Tom" incidents that have occurred during the past few weeks in several Columbia villages.

In the latest incident, a bespectacled man wearing jeans and a polo shirt was reported looking into a bedroom window in the 5600 block of Columbia Road on Monday night. He was described as a white male, in his mid-20s, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall with brown hair.

The incidents do not appear to be related. Twice last week, residents reported a Peeping Tom, but one suspect was described as a white male, the other a black male, police records show.

On Saturday, a long blond-haired man, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, was seen peering into windows late at night in the 8800 block of Tamar Drive. A few days earlier, on Sept. 15, a black man, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, was seen looking into a rear sliding glass door in the 5900 block of Tarkington Place.

Police say anyone with information should call 313-2266.
