Key beats Fairfield, 3-0

Jessica Sutherland had one goal and two assists to lead Francis Scott Key (2-1-1) over Fairfield (Pa.), 3-0, yesterday in a non-league field hockey game.

* Bryn Mawr 3, Oldfields 0: Sara Jordan scored two goals to lead host Bryn Mawr (1-0) past Oldfields.

* Roland Park 3, Seton Keough 0: Peggy Boutilier scored two goals and made an assist for visiting Roland Park against Seton Keough (0-1-2, 0-1) in an AIS League game.

Girls soccer

* Glenelg 2, North Carroll 0: Sophomore halfback Lee Custer and junior forward Emily Cox each scored a goal. Senior Diana Rolfs made eight saves for Glenelg (2-1).

* Owings Mills 2, Lansdowne 0: Sophomore wing Michelle Dube scored the game-winner and senior center forward Golani Avrahami added a second-half insurance goal for Owings Mills (1-0, 1-0) in a 3A-4A Baltimore County League game.

* John Carroll 4, Joppatowne 0: Krystin Porcella scored three goals to lead the Patriots (2-0).


* Mercy 3, Mount Carmel 0: Tricia Henry, Meg Kline and Denise Holthaus combined for 13 aces as the Sharpshooters (1-1) beat the host Lions, 15-3, 15-2, 15-1.
