Bob Hanna scored two unassisted goals to lead Broadneck past Bowie, 2-1, last night in a season-opening boys soccer game for both teams.

Football

* C. Milton Wright 27, North Harford 0: Jason Tharpe rushed for 112 yards on 17 carries to lead C. Milton Wright past host North Harford. Tharpe and Rich Jurgensen each rushed for two touchdowns for the Mustangs (3-0).

* Fallston 25, Bel Air 14: Freshman running back Matt Sutphin rushed for 64 yards on 18 carries -- including two touchdowns -- as host Fallston (3-0, 2-0) defeated Bel Air (0-3, 0-2) in a Harford CountyLeague game. Quarterback Brad Thomas completed four of 10 for 28 yards and made two conversions.

Field hockey

* Bryn Mawr 3, Oldfields 0: Sara Jordan scored two goals to lead host Bryn Mawr (1-0) past Oldfields.

* Francis Scott Key 3, Fairfield (Pa.) 0: Jessica Sutherland had one goal and two assists to lead Francis Scott Key (2-1-1) over Fairfield.

* Roland Park 3, Seton Keough 0: Peggy Boutilier had two goals and an assist, as visiting Roland Park shut out Seton Keough (0-1-2, 0-1) in an Association of Independent Schools game.

Girls soccer

* John Carroll 4, Joppatowne 0: Krystin Porcella scored three goals to lead the host Patriots (2-0).

* Glenelg 2, North Carroll 0: Sophomore halfback Lee Custer and junior forward Emily Cox each scored a goal for host Glenelg.
