Wright tops N. Harford to remain unbeaten

Jason Tharpe rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns to lead C. Milton Wright past North Harford, 27-0, last night in a Harford County football game.

Rich Jurgensen rushed for two touchdowns, of 3 yards and 1 yard for the Mustangs (3-0).

* Fallston 25, Bel Air 14: Freshman running back Matt Sutphin rushed for 64 yards on 18 carries -- including two touchdowns -- as host Fallston (3-0, 2-0) defeated Bel Air (0-3, 0-2) in 2A/3A Harford County.

* Edgewood 20, Aberdeen 13: Senior defensive end Chris James and sophomore defensive tackle Mike Brown each returned interceptions for touchdowns to lead Edgewood (1-2, 1-1) over Aberdeen (1-2, 0-2).

Field hockey

* Bel Air 1, Dulaney 0: Senior Miki Schultz scored unassisted in the second half for the game's only goal.

* Bryn Mawr 3, Oldfields 0: Sara Jordan scored two goals to lead host Bryn Mawr (1-0) past Oldfields.

* Havre de Grace 3, Aberdeen 1: Jen Hager scored two goals and Tricia Oals had a goal and an assist to lead Havre de Grace (1-0, 1-0) over host Aberdeen (0-2, 0-2).

* Francis Scott Key 3, Fairfield (Pa.) 0: Jessica Sutherland had one goal and two assists to lead Francis Scott Key (2-1-1) over Fairfield.

* Roland Park 3, Seton Keough 0: Peggy Boutilier scored two goals and made an assist as visiting Roland Park shut out Seton Keough (0-1-2, 0-1) in the AIS.

Girls soccer

* John Carroll 4, Joppatowne 0: Krystin Porcella scored three goals to lead the Patriots (2-0) past visiting Joppatowne.

* North Harford 8, Aberdeen 2: Freshman center halfback Danielle Konschak scored three goals.
