2 women sought in sawed-off shotgun holdup

Howard County police are looking for two women who used a sawed-off shotgun to rob a Jessup motel early Saturday.

Police said the pair entered the Truckers Inn in the 7400 block of Assateague Drive at 4:30 a.m. while two men waited for them in a white, four-door vehicle outside.

The women confronted two employees and demanded money. One of the suspects threatened to use a light brown, sawed-off shotgun she carried.

The women left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. injuries were reported, police said.

The suspects are described as black females, wearing dark sun glasses, faded red zip-up jackets and red bandannas.

One woman was said to be in her mid-20s, 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds. The second suspect, who wore a black skirt, was in her 30s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds, police said.

*Jessup: 8900 block of Good Harvest Court: Someone stole a $100 cellular phone from a green Acura Integra between Sept. 11 and Thursday, police said.

*North Laurel: 10100 block of Washington Blvd.: Clothing and several other items were stolen from a white Honda Accord Tuesday or Wednesday. Police said the thief broke a passenger side window.
