Woman raped by man armed with knife

State police are searching for a knife-wielding rapist who attacked a Bel Air woman Monday night at her apartment on Fox Hill Drive.

The suspect entered through an open window, raped the woman and stole her purse before leaving.

Police described the attacker as a white man, about 5 feet 9 inches tall with blond hair. When last seen he was wearing a windbreaker jacket and short pants.

Man's wallet stolen from phone booth

A Darlington man told police that he left his wallet containing about $200 in a telephone booth at Erie and Juniata streets in Havre de Grace about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

When the man returned about 9 a.m., he said his wallet was not there.

An investigation is continuing, police said.

Amazon parrot stolen from porch

A Havre de Grace woman told police that someone stole a pet Amazon parrot from the porch of her home in the first block of Otsego St. Sept. 11.

The woman said the bird, named Angel, was removed from its cage between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. She placed Angel's value at $1,100.

Reward offered in Edgewood burglary

The Harford County Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for the arrest and indictment of whoever broke into an Edgewood residence in the 1900 block of Harbinger Trail Sept. 8.

Police said there was no forced entry, but someone entered the home between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and stole gold jewelry, tools and camera equipment.
